Wine
Proudly Serving Local Wines
Excellence is not a skill.  It is an Attitude.  ~Ralph Marston

The primary focus of our wine selection is finding small production boutique wines that concentrate on quality. California is very fortunate in having many to choose from and we feature some of the best. Our selection changes often as some of the wines are available to us  or allocated for a short time. Justin  and Sea Smoke are two wines that are allocated.

We have several outstanding wineries in the Ojai Valley and proudly feature their wines.

Noble Oaks
On an oak covered hill in the Ojai Valley, the property - with its rambling Spanish Colonial Revival – Andalusian Farmhouse home, was a sacred place of the Chumash people. The topographical location and orientation of the house was chosen to preserve and protect an ancient Chumash molcajete - indigenous to the property. This large stone is located in the courtyard near the front entrance of the home which was built in 1928. To garnish the table and plenish the cups of prominent personalities and distinguished visitors to the estate - winemaking took place in the cellars of Noble Oaks between 1929 & 1935…the tradition continues.

Boccali
Boccali Vineyards & Winery is a family-owned and operated winery located in the scenic Upper Ojai Valley. Partners and winemakers, DeWayne & Joe Boccali are the driving forces
behind the label. Boccali Vineyards hand-crafted wines are grown, produced
& bottled on-site, and aged in American Oak.

The Ojai Vineyard
The Ojai Vineyard, owned by Adam & Helen Tolmach, works closely with a dozen different vineyards on the Central Coast of California and produces wines from syrah, grenache, mourvedre, pinot noir, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc and viognier. About 6000 cases are produced each year, divided between 15 bottlings, most of which are vineyard designated wines.

The Casa Barranca Winery

The Casa Barranca Certified Organic Winery is a central feature of the National Historic Landmark Casa Barranca Estate, designed in 1909 by Greene & Greene. Located in picturesque Ojai, California, Casa Barranca is the first certified organic winery in the Santa Barbara region. At Casa Barranca, we are dedicated to making the finest wines. Some of the most coveted French wines are made from organic and biodynamic grapes. Why? Because organic farming provides a true expression of the terrior. Our boutique wines are handcrafted in our century old underground stone winery where we use gravity to rack our wines. We are committed to employing winemaking practices without the use of toxic solvents and cleaners. Our winery is powered by solar electricity and we grow and purchase grapes that are farmed without the use of any pesticides or herbicides. This is in keeping with the most time honored traditions of old world winemaking

Bag End Cellars
Bag End Cellars was born in 1976, though no one knew it at the time. It came about when a young mother began reading to her children, one of the most imaginative epic stories of all time. The children would grow to love the idea of the cozy and comfortable hobbit’s hole built into the side of a hill; an unexpected tea party for a group of dwarves that would soon become life long friends after their life altering journey. And upon the day that this young mother carved out a sign and put it up in front of their property, that read “Bag End”, the fate of Bag End Cellars was sealed. Bag End Cellars officially created their first wines in 2004 from fruit purchased from Camp 4 Vineyards and Rodney’s Vineyard, of Fess Parker Winery and Vineyards. The entire winemaking process took place in Los Olivos, California at the Fess Parker Winery, by Dawnielle R. S. Burich, who at the time was the assistant winemaker there. This was where the Viognier, the Paradise Syrah, the Côte Rôtie Style Syrah and the Syrah Port came to be a part of Bag End Cellars’ repertoire. Bag End Cellars moved July 2007, from their Los Olivos facility to downtown Santa Barbara, where they were greeted graciously by everyone at Cellar 205; located at 205 Anacapa Street in downtown Santa Barbara. There at Cellar 205 Dawnielle will continue to create her wines from fruit grown in the Santa Ynez Valley. Be sure to drop by and check out her new digs! Tastings are by appointment only, so be sure to call in advance so that we may accommodate your curiosity and love for Bag End Cellars’ wines!
