Ojai's premier liquor store was founded in 1965 by Mr. Fred Keeler. The name at the time was Fred's Liquor. Fred and several of his friends would go for an "Attitude Adjustment" after work several times a month and there important business was discussed.
At one of those "meetings" they all decided that the name should and would be changed to:
The Attitude Adjustment Shoppe
Les and Alice Gardner assumed ownership in 1986.
It has become a focal point for Ojai locals to gather to Ship Letters and Packages, play the California Lottery or just to come by and say "Hi".
Les & Alice live in Ojai and are active in community affairs, particularly the Rotary Club of Ojai-West.
